Has anyone replaced the stock tips with the stainless tips? Is there a difference in sound? I was wondering if it made the 6.2 louder.

What do you mean stock tips? My 6.2 has the Corsa Quick and Quiet S.S. and they give a nice rumble. Would prefer captain's choice for its convenience.

Mine has that too. It has the stock rubber flaps on it now. I've seen where people have the longer tubes that come out, and I was wondering if that gives it a louder sound or if it was just for looks..

If I remember correctly, the Quick and Quiet is meant to keep under a certain decibel level for sound restricted areas and Europe. The exhaust splits between the transom and drive hub. You could take the baffles out of the S.S. tips in the transom and get more noise. I'd recommend keeping the flaps on to limit water back into the exhaust
