I just bought a new to me Baja Outlaw 23 with a 496 mag, 1.5 gear ratio, and a Merc Vensura 23p.

I am running about 61-63(regular speedo number- not gps) and 4700 rpm with 2 people and a full tank of gas. When I trim it all the way out I start to porpoise. I feel like there is more speed to bad had because when its proposing and I come down it really bites and it feels like it wants to go but then porpoises right back up and I lose speed. SO when running WOT in am bouching between 61-63 (speedo no-gps). If I don't trim all the way up I can barely see 60 mph (non-gps). Again its a Outlaw 23 with a 496 mag. Merc. Vensura 4 blade 23p.Let me know if you have any ideas that would help me. Or anyone running a 23 outlaw let me know what prop you are using.

23 Outlaw with 496mag probably performs about as well as a H2X with a 496 mag? Outlaw has more deadrise, but H2X is a touch heavier maybe.

Anyway, I ran a BBlades labbed 25p Mirage Plus 3 blade on my H2X, could see 66gps any day, with a best of 69.

Lots of guys running labbed 23p Mirage Plus's also. 3 Blades are faster if you can keep them hooked up. Try one of those.
