We know that if you have th3e big cockpit/ small bildge, impellers are a *****.
Removing the seat back is the way to go for sure.
when I did mine, I lossend both hose clamps (intake and out put), and removed bolts, and pulled pump strait off the 2 hoses. and when I installed them I litterally used the bolts to pull the pump back on the 2 hoses..
So here is my question. has any of you ever changed it while FLOATING... if so, how did you do so? I could not see how to move my intake hose above the water line as it had no wear to go... so seems thats not going to ever happen if your in a jam stuck somewhere in the water.

I was under the assumtion it was BELOW the water line and that water would GUSH in... I know most boats are set up that the wateris natrually pushed to the pumps.. so I assumed it would rush in.

I removed the hoses and shoved a rag in the inlet hose, then went to work....it was around 100*, so I had the wife keep driving the boat ( @ idle)
to keep some air movement, lost a pint or two of blood during the battle, but got it done
