Lurking this forum for quite some time, around boats my entire life (father works for West Marine), and now finally have one of my own so here goes.
Hoping someone on here can tell me something I might not know about my 20ft Outlaw. Has 25th anniversary badges on it, completely red hull and came with a 5.7 Mercruiser and AlphaOne setup. As far as I was told this boat came from the factory with the power trim tabs that are installed and the 350 Merc. which from my understanding for a 20ft is just about as loaded as you can get.
I have searched the internet and some forums high and low and cannot find a single picture, for sale post, or anything that references an anniversary edition 20 footer and not a single red example from this year and style. I love the boat, is in the process of a rebuild and full clean up and hope to have her back in the water this month.
Thanks,
Charlie

I don't think that's a 1996. Here is a scan from my 1996 brochure. They only show the 272 as being a 25th anniversary edition model, and none of the graphic packages look like yours. XT or one of those guys will know better though. Your HIN should give you the year.

Man puzzleboy the picture I'm looking at looks exactly like the brochure. His boat has the exact same graphics as the brochure too, just different color. As I recall the 272 did have an anniversary badge and I'm thinking I saw one on a 260, (maybe Firehills boat).
The good news Charlie, that badge doesn't add any value to the boat so you're G2G either way. Cool little Outlaw. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply guys.
The graphics are definitely the same as in the brochure (which is real cool too see by the way thanks), the colors just blend on each other a bit closer and the hull could use a buff.
The HIN is AGC30038B596. From what I have read that indicates it is a 96, was the 38th boat off the line that year? Other than that not sure what other details you can get out of it.
Not sure why it has anniversary badges unless they were added later but have never found a single picture or evidence of another red one from this year. Either way I hopefully wont be having to sell it anytime soon so any value add in terms of rarity isn't much of a concern until it's time to upgrade.
