Default Titan Brake Rite II SD Issue

Guys,

Trailer brakes stopped working. Checked it out and I have input to the SD Control Module and no out to pump. At one point the SD Control Module started clicking but no brakes.

Anybody have this SD Comtrol Module fail? It was all installed when the Myco was built in 2009.

I had my pump module fail 2 years after installation. No warranty.

Keith, you are not the first one to have the controller go out. I don't want to say it's common; but plenty of folks have had to replace it.

My buddy got just a few years out of his replacement unit. I believe I have a Carlisle actuator on my Manning and it's been great. I would move on to another brand then Brake Rite, they are suspect!

Hey Brian, it is the module, took it apart and was burned/melted inside. Sadly it failed as I was leaving for the Erie Poker Run. Still went but ran slow. Just ordered one from eTrailer. Have another poker run this weekend. Thanks for your help!

Not real interested in wholesale change at this point, if it happens again in a short period of time I may change my mind.

Thanks to you all for the help!

Mine went out, had a 6 wheel lock up at 50 mph. As it was shorting it would come on in the middle of the day with nothing hooked to it and burned the pump out as well. Got a call from a neighbor in the middle of the day saying my trailer was groaning. It turnrd on the battery and wore the pump out.

Ok, so I got the new control module and installed it.

Now, the pump doesn't run until I pull the breakaway key....then when I place back in everything works fine until I shut the truck off.....then it will not operate again until I pull the break away key.

Any ideas?
