The seller bought the boat about a year ago.

He offered it to me and I said I was only interested in the boat, not the trailer or tractor. He wanted to sell everything, I passed. I also advised him to remove the 666 number from the boat. My racing number was 60.

The trailer is the original trailer that I comissioned when I made the boat back in the 70's. It is a dry trailer that you need slings to launch and retrieve the boat.

The tractor is not the original one that I had back then I have no knowledge of the tractor's history.

If anyone buys this, I can help with how the boat was originally rigged and with what.

I would expect Charlie to want that boat for the fact that it was his and the history he had with it etc. Especially the fact that he's all about restoring the vintage race boat and especially this one being his and the one that made him and his company so popular in the "good ole days". With all that being said, the asking price is pocket change. Sell the trailer and tractor separately.

The hull delaminated at one time. But it is just fiberglass and wood and it can be tepaired.

If you are interested in this project, think of buying a new hull and deck from any boat co. Now you have to buy everything else to build the boat, engines, drives, steering, fuel tanks, bolster, electronics, gauges etc.

Some of the tanks may still be good or you may not want them. When We raced 540 gallons was standard for our longer races. Trim tabs are on the boat but will need to be rebuilt.

Trailer will need new bearings, brakes and tires minimum. Tractor.....I have no knowledge of.

hi top banana,they are selling the hull only for the same price as the package including truck and trailer,i know it is better to stay away from these old projects, but i am 60 now and still in love with them so....we will see.
do you have a idea of the weight of this hull?

Before rigging it weighed 3800 lbs. No Kevlar all glass and wood.

not possible to buy this hull,did you ever talk with the owner,,mr.cataldi,, i could not deal with him,rude and impolite,so i ask a friend to deal with him,after he agree on the price,and we wanted to pay a deposit the guy send him this mail ;

I am going to remove the transom assembly that's there and associated hardware and keep it I will also remove trim tabs as they extend beyond the hull length you require.

that was to much,it is like after buying a car they tell you they will take sound system out and remove the wheels.
so i give up,if any one knows another project for sale,let me know please !
