Rollin' Snake Eyes With FHP - No Dice On The Bridge
I've had very good luck over the years on the bridges in Jacksonville. 
But, streaks always end...
Took a chance and bet big on the Buckman Bridge last Saturday...
which on a normal day is an 8-lane expressway.
This day was random bridgework day and one lane was closed.
Traffic was heavy and the trooper I met was not very amused.
I managed to get one boat- walking sideways to my car as he followed with lights flashing.
Took a chance doing that, as I felt if I had asked for 10 minutes- one more time...
But, streaks always end...

There's a little marina at the base of the bridge, so I headed there to see what was what.
Got a couple of roostertail shots, then when Silverhook went by, I just thought to myself: "this one's over folks".
And headed back to the house.

Riverwalk area is very nice at sunset. This is called Friendship Fountain.

As far as 'negotiating' with Officer Friendly...
he was no-nonsense, most definitely had had the training in how to direct a conversation...
with each response his tone changed just a little, in a direction that I sensed was not good for me.
Easiest decision I made all day.
before I left the house I had been looking at it like an all-or-nothing $250 bet.
Best case: it doesn't rain and I get some shots; worst case: run off without shots.
So I hedged the bet by staying across the river and walking over the bridge to the landing and taking the water taxi return.
The Chart House building is so cool..
