changing exhausts on the old hatteras. indmar to merc. where would i find a piece of 4 inch stainless to add the necessary extra 6 inches or so th the exhaust hoses.

Derek, I would just Google it - you should be able to find someone online who can sell you some by the foot. MetalSupermarket comes to mind. Other than that, call some exhaust shops - I found a guy near me who does a lot of custom stainless exhausts, and he had plenty of it.

Wondering if this would be a cheap source for making a set of turn-downs. Seems like you could just get a local shop put it on the expander so they could slip over a set of standard tips. Or just buy a set of cheap SS tips and have him weld them on. It would probably beat paying $$$ from one of the marine suppliers.

Those will do the trick. Thanx. edit; they are 4 inch ID. so they may go right on 4 inch OD tips to make budget turndowns.
