Need some oso wisdom

Default Need some oso wisdom

Okay so to make a long story short we swaped a lower unit because the old carrier bearing was rusted in there and leaking so I replaced 3 seals on the new lower the one around the vertical shaft one around the port that's connected to the water intakes and a small one on the inside of the intake port went to fill it with fresh lube and I get almost to the end of my 2nd quart and drive oil starts coming out of the water intakes what am I missing and why is it leaking out there

There is a lube hole inside of the water passage on the newer lowers. You can just run a tap in it and plug it off with a set screw. 5/16" I believe

yes this is correct I believe its a 1/8 th pipe tap
