Default Question on new A/C units Dometic vs Webasco vs Mermaid

I am looking to replace my Dometic A/C unit. Does anyone have any real world experience with the Webasco units? I was looking at Dometic, Mermaid and Webasco 5000-6000btu units. I am leaning toward the Webasco because it has a 3 speed fan, the others only have a single speed. Just wondering about the quality

Thanks

I have one on board, its a stout unit that cools very well. 3 speed fan is a nice option and prevents freeze ups like my other unit did.

EasyE , ever come across any vibration pads or mounts for AC`s that would help cushion impact. I popped a refrigerant line @ROTO last year.

I installed a Webasto ac on my Carver. It is directly below the forward bed. I hear the air moving, but I do not hear the compressor motor at all. It is super quiet. And compact. When I need a new ac for the main cabin, it will be a Webasto. I highly recomend them.

Thanks for all the responses!!!

I am leaning toward the Wabasto mainly because the 3 speed fan and the digital thermostat is a nice feature. I have a 28 Velocity and the cabin isn't that big. When the Dometic unit was on I couldn't hear the compressor at all but the noise from the moving air coming out of the vent was pretty loud. I'm sure I don't even need 5000btu's LOL. It should be like a meat locker in the cabin.

We use these for HVAC installs sometimes. They come in various sizes, materials, prices, etc.
