Just wondering if anyone has ever done this? I love the look of chrome, i also know chroming aluminium is more involved than steel. Does the annodizing need to be stripped from the parts first?
Im just about to gut my boat for repairs and wanted to freshen things up. I can either have them re annodized but like the idea of maybe chroming them instead. Everything is currently red. Below is a list of what ive got.
Dana HP1100 Tabs
Ski pole (billet shaft and base mount)
Steering column (custom made 28" long)
Battery bracket (I made this myself, its just 3x pieces of 6mm aluminium flat bar that i had annodized. They have holes taped to take 3/8" stainless threaded rod)
