Looking for trailer winch.

The winch on our trailer is starting to get a little sketchy. Getting to the point where it's tough to get locked in position and feel good about it staying there. Not worth it to keep gambling so it's time for a new one.
Been doing a little searching and I'm not finding much. None of my suppliers through my shop carry anything that's heavy enough to do the job in my opinion. The heaviest winches I'm finding are on,y in the 3,200-3,500 lb range. Based off the research I've done that's not nearly enough for a boat that weighs about 9k dry.
What are you guys doing for winches?
Buck

Hey Buck, 3200 lbs. is all Myco has been putting on their 37-39 foot trailers for years.
You are not lifting the boat straight up. All you are doing is dragging it forward.
I replaced the winch on my 37AT a couple years back with a 3200 lbs. 2-speed, (no hand brake) winch from etrailer.com.
Remember, you are not holding the boat on the trailer with the winch after you retrieve the boat and head down the road.
That's what your 3-4 straps are doing on a typical V-bottom boat & trailer.

I guess I needed some sort of reassurance before feeling good about it. Also realize every winch I've ever seen hasn't been near the rating I was looking for.
Looks like it'll be a new 3,200 lb winch for me.
Thanks as always guys.

FWIW, I replaced the cable on my winch with a custom made 10,000 lb. nylon strap and hook. It took a little doing to attach it to the spool but it has worked fine for the last 5 years.
If memory serves me correct, ratchetstraps.com made the winch strap and the other three ratchet straps I use.
