Default Few questions about 42 GTX or sitdown boat

Few questions about 42 GTX Hope someone can help me out here
1. Is it possible to covert 3 seater backseat to 4 seater. We would like to have 6 people total on board
2. Anyone tried to install extra storage bins in the bow area to gain some more storages or anchor space?
3. Where do you guys normally put the beverage hooper bag or cooler in the sit down boat without cabin

Thank you so much for the help

I love my sit down Donzi ZRC and for poker runs or any long term running, you can't beat it.

To answer a few of your questions:

1. - Anything is possible with enough $$$, however the existing cockpit width restricts the back seats to 3. You would have to cut out the whole cockpit and widen it to get the fourth seat in the back. Some boats, like my Donzi are too narrow a beam to even think of that but with a 9'+ beam on an Outerlimits you theoretically could. I had a friend take his 4 seat MTI and turn it into a 6 seat but he had plenty of room. The cost was not cheap but it was a heck of alot cheaper than buying a new MTI.

2. - With the sit down boats like the 42X, ZRC, etc. there usually is no cabin or it is very minimal. There is a ton of room under the deck to mount bins, boxes, etc for unlimited types storage. In my boat I have two deck hatches. Under the one I mounted a porta-potty for the ladies and those uh-oh moments - you never know. When you go into the other hatch, you will see two large Rubbermaid bins strapped down. One contains safety gear & life vests and the other has the anchor/tow rope/tool bags. There is also plenty of room for 5 suitcases, multiple coolers and anything else you might want to bring on an extended boating excursion.
3.- When it comes to the cockpit, there are a ton of storage areas in the gunnels, and a couple bins under and behind the rear seats. A lot of boats have fender storage in the engine compartment but I keep mine in the bins behind the seat along with the dock lines. As for a cooler, I usually just keep a small 12-24 can soft cooler on the rear floor (four passengers) or if I have 5 people, wedge it in one of the bins behind the seat and move the bumpers under the deck. I always have a large soft sided cooler or two under the deck to restock the small one or to use while rafted up. Once you get a system set up, its actually easier to get stuff on my boat than digging through the cabin of a boat where everything is just stacked up.
