Default TRS to bravo box

im sure this has been talked about many times on here, i tried googling and searching for a while with no luck. if someone has a link it would be much appreciated.

my top gun was a TRS boat but i have 8" up 2" imco boxes i want to use and essentially do the same idea as the stellings conversion box to save time and not need to redo the transom. ill just weld the holes on my box and re drill. i know the box is supposed to be able to be a fairly direct swap but ive never seen it so here are my questions.

1. what kind of inner transom plate is there?
2. is it just an extended drive shaft or was the a coupler?

im a visual learner so if someone has some installed pics it would be MUCH appreciated. i know there is a 38 scarab with this conversion for sale right now but i cant get ahold of the owner and my guns getting paint next week and id like to make it on the water this summer lol so im trying to keep things moving.

THANKS

thye stellings box was never completed.I got some 1 off design and it was all wrong.Ended up glassing the back of my boat and getting a great deal on bravo extension boxes.you could do as merc did and use a 1/2-3/4" aluminum plate and dill the proper holes for the extension box.

Not sure yet on power. Either some 540's or some
Hopped up hp500's. Not going to be over 600hp probably mid 500 or so. And so I could make my own plate ? What about the shift cable etc where can all that be mounted?

And is just running an 8" longer drive shaft OK?

I run the imco 12" long shaft in mine,so alignment procedures are still the same as original merc.

Could you post pics of your set up just so I could get a grasp on it?
