Is $35k a decent number for this boat ? What speeds will the 454's achieve? How bad will maintenance be? Anyone have personal knowledge of this boat? Only thing that caught my eye was the aftermarket tabs. All opinions are appreciated.

I went and looked at it. It needs a cockpit interior bad and a clean and buff. A lot of Formica is separated from the wood in the cabin, has had some glass work on the bottom of the swim platform. There are some stress cracks on the sides of the swim platform as well. It has been there for quite some time, the wife and I discussed a high 20's offer but ultimately the freeboard and cabin height was just to low for us.

Jason at the dealership said was perfect and needed nothing but good cockpit cleaning. My buddy that worked at Pier 45 Marine who was the local Scarab dealer said this was a 29k boat in perfect shape. Jason sent me over the nada value saying 40k avg retail and 35k low retail. Not worth paying full price for a boat you have to sink more cash in from the get go and bury yourself in someone else's leftover problems. Guess they can sit on it till next summer now. I owe you one because you saved us a drive to Austin just to be disappointed.

David Moore, see him several times a week and catch up with James Haney every few months. Last time I saw Jerry he had Houston Boating Center on Lake Conroe so it's been forever since I saw him.
