i have a 1989 baja sport 240 with a 509 bbc. Im having a hard time keeping my boat straight at high speeds. When running 64+ the slightest little thing sends my boat completely out of control. I have K planes on it to try helping but it still doesn't work. Seems like as soon as you open it up it starts chining BAD! Any suggestions? There isn't play in the outdrive either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What prop are you running? About the best prop out there for the 24 outlaw/ 240 hulls is the mach 4 blade if you can find one. Bravo's throw the boat around to much. Raising the outdrive makes a huge difference in handling of the boat as well. The drive is in the basement. I raised my old one 3.5" and it still never had issues with blow out with a 4 blade.

The hook in the strakes can't be removed, it has to be filled in. I know of guys who paid thousands to get it fixed after "removing" the hook. I have zero chine walk on a 25OL with a warmed up 525sc, Imco full helm single ram, 280 kplanes and an extension box
