Can anyone help me out as to where the water pressure hose going to the gauge connects on the engine? Engine is closed cool. The mechanic is telling me it bolts on to the heat exchanger but I have a doubt.

you dont say what engine you have, but on a 525EFI, the water pressure sensor is on the oil cooler on the left side (looking from the front of the engine)

The intake manifold is a good place to measure WP.

The engines are custom built 540's.

my 540's have the plate style top bell housing mount oil coolers, there is a pipe 3/8 pipe plug where mine are hooked up
