Would any of the sages gathered here care to educate a rookie on the basics of the 38 AVS boats? Specifically what one should look for, and more importantly what to avoid when looking to buy one of these boats?

I just bought mine. It has usual wear n tear for a 1998, but still in great shape. If possible see if you can get the motors scanned to get an idea of how hard they were ran. Look for obvious signs of excessive salt water use.
