Will simply un hooking the hose for the speedometer in the lower cause any issues. I am assuming it operates off of vacuum and all will be fine?

Just for reference its a pitot tube in the drive and gage works off water pressure pushing on the air in the line to the gage. Disconnect at the lower I'd still plug the line coming into the boat.
