Searching the net I find all kinds of right ups. bblades seems to have the skinny, but I would still like to figure out what's best for my issue. Have 4 sets of 3x3 B3 prps, 22, 22 cupped, 24 and 26 pitch
Current, 11K single engine cruiser (Formula 27PC). A 502 producing 530 or so HP and 600 ft lb torque. Have a Bravo XR upper and Bravo 3 lower with 2.0 ratio. Have a 3x3 prop set 2ith 26 pitch set, comes out of the hole ok, wouldn't mind more, and cruises at 3600 to 3800 rom doing 34 to 36mph with about 20 percent slip. Have about 220lbs of anchor chain in the bow. WOT is at 5050rpm at 46 to 47 mph, all speeds is with gps.
Looking for hole shot and cruise range, could care less about top end. Have found no one which says lab finish is money well spent in my area of boats. Wouldn't mind spending the money for another set of props but not for one second shorter hole shot, reducing prop slip to under 15 percent might get my attention.

AD, the BIII XR prop set was designed for high HP (blue motor) cruiser applications such as the Formula 370 and 400 SS. See if Brett has a set that he can send you under his test prop program.
After the first season with my boat, I sent my original 3 x 3 set off to Brett to have the pitch verified, balanced, polished, blades thinned for more RPM, and a bit of cup added. I was very happy with the results. However, having now ran the last couple seasons on an XR 4 x 3 prop set I am much happier with the boat's overall performance. I have right at 10% prop slip according to the calculators.

Thanks Knot, would sure like to try a set. I'm thinking along the line of the 25 pitch, but no expert here
Prior to the rebuild I could trim the drive up more then now. My assumption is the stern was a heavier with the water found in the hull and foam. Not that it's a bit lighter the weight of all the chain in the bow is causing the boat to tip over sooner.

Not sure how pronounced it would be on your boat compared to mine. On my boat, it just gives it a bit more of a floating feel in the stern at WOT. At cruise you really don't notice any difference in running attitude. Only when I run WOT (which is rare) and trim the boat out do you feel it slide around a bit more in the a$$ end than it did with the 3 x 3. I still think they would be worth a try.

As before still wouldn't mind trying, but as the stern comes up the bow wants to tip over with very little trim (the 20+ percent prop slip, I'm thinking). The 200 (+/-) pounds of anchor and chain I think is my real problem. Always like the way the boat handled even during WOT, but now its different due to weight change.
Some time I'll pull it off the boat and see what it does
