1976 Sunkisst Jet Boat, 19' gullwing hull
#1
454 bored .030 over to 461
Less than 1 hour runtime on engine
Cam lobe flat on #7
Have not cut open filter yet.
Oil pressure fine last start.
800cfm ProForm carb
Hyperkinetic Pistons
Mallory ignition
jacketed headers.
mechanical fuel pump
9.2:1 compression
Eagle crank
solid rockers
double roller timing chain
.578 lift cam (shot now)
Berkeley pump
Droop snoot with turning fin, split bucket reverse.
Tommy Moore built pump
Butch Kanoodle built motor
Solid trailer, new bearings, carpet/wood, and tires.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got the boat on trade from a good friend.
Motor (and pump) was built 2 years ago. He took his wife out for a ride and the boat scared her. It had 20 minutes runtime.
I traded him a daycruiser which he previously owned for 22 years.
His wife = happy!
I took it out once, put 30 minutes on it and ran fine. I then took it to Lake Anna jet boat festival and cam went south as soon as I took it out.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My "little boat" interests have moved to an outboard drag boat and I want this out of the garage.
Overall condition:
No cracks. It has one nice ding on the port front, topside. Other than that, no significant hull dings. I believe the red is original gelcoat which looks decent. The black is painted on top.
I'd give the hull a 8/10, and 7.5/10 for interior.
Don't waste your time with a lowball.
It's not junk.
