Ok guys, I have a 1982 Banana, hull #23.. My HIN starts with BCB. I have noticed some of the later boats have HIN's that start with BCV. I know that Banana changed hands around 1982 and that the company name changed from Banana Boat Co. to Banana Boat LTD at this time. Did the HIN's change to reflect this? Do I have a Charlie built Banana?

My HIN is burried under paint since my boat was originally red and painted white in the late 90's i beleive. I would rather not dig through a decent paint job so i am only going by my paperwork and a secondary tag that was added after paint.

Sorry, that is not one of the Banana's that we built before the change.

The HIN number should not be BCB....maybe scrape some paint to get a closer look.

I have an 82 as well.. I restored the whole boat and it came out awesome.. Make sure you stay true to the lines of a Banana and the boat will come out great..

Charlie is the go to guy with Bananas, but there's alot of guys here with plenty of knowledge..
