Default Fuel pump will not energize

The port-side motor has a fully charged battery (checked it twice), the engine will crank over very easy, however the volt gauge on the cluster does not read any volts. The fuel pump does not energize either and therefor the motor will not start. Ran fine all day on Saturday until my buddy accidently pulled out the tether on our way back from the sand bar. I must have a bad ground or something that will not allow the fuel system to energize of the volt meter to read properly????

Any ideas? I am going to start tracing wires tonight. I have a big weekend planned with the boat and I have to get this fixed by Saturday morning.

Thank you for any help at all.

If the kill switch lanyard was pulled out, start there........... its a make break switch that kills all power to the engine

Tether was pulled out and then replaced; motor still will not start. Is there a fuse or connection that can go bad on the back side of the kill / tether switch?

The switches themselves can go bad sometimes.

Also, as I posted in your other thread, did you check the micro fuse for the fuel pump? ( I am assuming stock Merc stuff)
