Lift adjustment question

I have my Sunsation on a lift and it is currently mounted to be level without a boat on it. With the boat on it, if it rains on the open bow all the water doesn't make it back to the bilge because it leans slightly forward.
My question is this:
I see there are adjustment points on the front arms of my poly lift. It looks as if I could move them up a couple notches and lean the boat back slightly.
Are there consequences to doing this or is this a normal adjustment? Looks like it would put some more pressure on the front arms leveraging the front of the boat higher.

If you are talking about the brackets that support the bunks, you can raise them as high as you want no problem. You aren't changing the load the lift sees. It's still lifting the same weight. Only difference may be as the lift comes up and contacts the boat, the bow may make contact 1st. Depends on how its set up currently. But as soon as the whole boat is in contact with the lift, the attitude of the boat is irrellevant. Only the position fore/ and back effects the force on the arms.

Gottcha. I wouldn't mess with those pivot bolts myself (Assuming we are discussing the large bolts that bolt the arms to the slip mounting brackets) Those should all be set the same distance from the water, not from the deck of the dock. But that may be splitting hairs. By having those at different water level distances, you are in a sense trying to hold the front of the tanks higher and pushing the rear downward. Just putting everything under unneeded stress. Plus, Not sure how much you'd actually gain cause moving those pivot bolts up with just the play in all the lifts mounting brackets and the large arm bushings, the tanks will still want the to float level, thus gaining you almost nothing. Id still adjust the bunk brackets, thats what they are there for. But I guess if you are insistent on doing so, only a few minute job.
