Default Air-Tight bearing protectors

Does anybody have these? If so how do you like them and are they worth getting?

Thanks

I have used them for years, I have crossed the US multiple times from San Diego to Florida. Never a bearing failure!! Unlike other systems you can pop off the rubber cap anytime with your thumb and see the condition of the grease. Two seconds to pop off and thirty seconds to reinstall. Two pumps of air from a sports ball pump and your off. Never any grease slung on your wheels or boat..

Love mine on my Myco. I just bought replacements directly from Myco, few bucks a piece.

They suck, the problem is the spindle that holds the nut in is brittle, and if you lose a bearing, it it likely to tear up the spindle so as it is unrepairable. I know I just replaced two axles, one at atime on my way to Destin, Florida. Good theory, because you are able to grease the back bearing, but in a marine aplication which is known to take on water, they are a 10 hour roadside nighmare just waiting to happen. No thank you.

Thanks for the replies. Formula 223 are you referring to the ez lube axles or the air-tight bearing protectors? I have the ez lube axles now and like them. I want to add the air-tight bearing protectors, myco told me they have been using them since 2006.

Don't know what 223 is referring to?
The EZ lube is even better with Air-tite. Pull off the rubber cab with your thumb, 2 seconds. Put your grease gun on the axle fitting and push through 2 tubes of grease. Instant grease exchange! Re install rubber cap. New grease without removing anything but a simple cap! The ONLY thing is at the ramp you need to look at the caps. If they are pooched out a bit you are good to go, If not grab the sports ball pump and a pump or two prior to launch. When i cross hot, hot desert I will let a little air out when I am getting fuel. Seems they get over pooched due to pavement heat. Takes about 3 seconds a wheel.
