Have two projects going on.. Picked up a 1978 (maybe) Chrysler Conquer 105. Pulled the top off and redoing stringers and the whole boat. Also plan to strip all the boat paint off my cruiser at end of season and redo.

Chrysler - Has a lot of spider cracks on the hull. I'm thinking about doing a sand job and respray gel coat over the entire hull. So what would be a good spray gun to get and what size nozzles. Any other tips and tricks would also be helpful. Never done any spray gel, only brush on and sand n buff.

Cruiser - Want to take off all old bottom paint but don't want to remove the barrier coat if possible. Have new barrier coat to touch up and paint if needed. Thinking along the line of a soda blaster and rent a commercial gas powered air compressor to use with. Boat is 27 feet so not a whole lot of hull.

good 'ol dump gun with about a 3/16" tip, cheap and works well.

Have any thoughts on bottom paint removal?

I found a local guy to do mine with dustless blasting, uses recycled glass bottles, water, and air, charged me 600$ to do my 27' Magnum
it has a little etch to the surface that I will have to sand down with some 150 before moving on.

Thanks, heard about glass and it should work well. I don't want the clean up as the reason for soda. Another guy mentioned dry ice blasting, this sounds real good but I have no local supply.
