Corbond???

I hate to start a thread just for this but where can I order corbond from? I get all my other suplies from uscomposites, they have it but they wont ship it. Where can i order corbond or even something equivalent? Thanks Steve

Glassdave approved! That says it all. Fixx, I've been using VE, 1/4 chop and cabosil but it seems like I am using a lot of resin. I guess their about the same price but I thought the corbond would be faster and stronger?

cabo and ve will work fine but I usually salt some West's 404 in the mix and try to use sparingly, keep the bond line thin as ya can. its tough to beat the convenience of ready mixed stuff but you wont find quantites of less then a five gallon pail and that a lotta bond stuff

I'm working on replacing the cockpit and cabin stringers, bulkets and floor in a 88 seebold 236. I figured I would probably need around 5 gals but not exactly sure. I've got 2 stringers about 90", one bow stringer about 90" and two small bulkets front and rear of gas tank. And then the entire floor but I'm not sure how to secure that yet, I'm thinking bonding it down with core bond or cabosil and weighting it down. Dave if I just get a copy of your book that would answer any questions I'll ever have.

if you do chose to use corebond either B70 or B70 just use a basic ortho resin or their primer for priming the surface. You probably are better off with a pre mix and it is much easier to radius and fillet plus with BPO cured core bond you pick up some work time.

I'm sure there is and technically the ve should have higher values but the inability to accurately control consistency may offset it. Either one is going to perform well for what your doing but I would always use a ready mix before anything I'd mix up in the shop. A ve/cabo mix is going to have a short pot life of maybe ten minutes or so, B70 will give you up to forty minutes.
