Are the two hydraulic through hull fittings screwed into the plate that mounts to the transom and do they come off/out with the plate? I need to replace the plate that bolts to the transom as it is corroded and not much left to recoat. Does anyone know if the "new" style square ram plate interchange with the old style that has the ram that is split in the middle?



I found that the fittings are screwed into the transom plate and must be disconnected inside the boat and the large SS nut removed, complete tab is now off the boat, leaving the second question, that is if a new style transom plate uses the same bolt location and can an old style ram be mounted on the new plate.????
