Matt , I remember the day well. Our offshore community shaken to the core in so many ways. Your were there for me as much as I was for you. Perhaps not as personal as the loss of a best friend but that the sun will rise in the morning that life will move forward and bleakness of that moment would somehow begin to heal. One of my true beliefs is that One door closes another opens. Thankful for the friendships that grew from that fateful day .

Other amazing acts of kindness that day ... firefighter/Powerboat safety team member Tony Fitzgerald broke news I had but couldn't deliver ... the Sunsation and Formula guys cleaned up our dock gear and packed up Tom's room.
I use the word "community" a lot when I write about the high-performance world. It don't use it for effect. It's real.
