Can you set the dwell on a Mallory Marine YLM Series Magnetic trigger distributor? If so how? I've got one of these on my boat I purchased and can't find much info on them. I just put a new module in mine and the dwell is coming up as 22 degrees. And I think all Chevy V8's should be 30 degrees. Help!

set dwell on point distributors...not electronic, only the gap on the relucter wheel on some

That is what I thought but I just wanted to make sure. I timed the engine today and when I advanced the timing the dwell went from 22 degrees to 27 degrees... weird, huh... I set the gap on the relucter wheel with the plastic shim they give you with the module. Thanks for confirming for me.
