Quote from paper: After boating to dinner at the Rusty Hook Tavern Saturday, Constantin Fiacos and Jeff Orawe waited for three hours as they were stranded on the north side. So, around 11 p.m., they were trying to choose between waiting more to make the 15-minute trip to their homes on the south side of the bridge or get started on a two-hour trip around, out the Hillsboro Inlet and down to Port Everglades to get back into the Intracoastal.
They had sent their wives and children home by car, but were wondering what to do next with the boats.
"We're stuck," Fiacos said.
What an a-hole.....they are searching for body and he can't get his boat home......wahhhhhh

I was having dinner at Houston's (75 ft from the bridge channel) when it happened. It was a pretty busy night on the IC. Cops and rescue everywhere . Water color was midnight Black.. no chance of seeing anything if you slipped under. It is a shame ..such a beautiful night . thunderheads put on an awesome show offshore. m

Came home in the dark on the inter coastal behind Keewadin Island last night because it was a little rough out on the Gulf.
It was a half moon but real dark still , crawling along at 20 mph not taking my eyes off the water and a boat blasts by me doing about 50 running with his Docking lights on.
Accident waiting to happen, them markers can sneak up on you fast at that speed.
