Does anyone know of any law or statute exempting older boats, (which were not equipped with mufflers from the manufacturer), from noise standard laws. I'm in Tennessee but would like to know of any state. I found information a few years ago on the internet that addressed this and listed a year in the early seventies as the cutoff year but I'm unable to locate in now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
