And for what year model? There must be different model year book since there must be some difference or improvement over the years...???

One is Merc has this manual across the board for the 500 EFI - one manual, but for the 525 there is 2 versions for engine side and 2 versions for the diagnostic side all depends on engine serial number.

I strongly recommend any reversion MEFI 3 diagnostic manual to help as well for the 500 EFI - FYI.

you have to watch what you buy - a guy who bought his manual on ebay had sections of pages missing. Hence he just bought mine because of that reason. Also sometimes the manuals will have misprints for the incorrect info - These are out on ebay from time to time. Anyways I have not had a chance to check for anymore manuals.

Also many manuals have revised as years pass so you always want the latest manual that was printed. A good example of this would be the 454 / 502 service manual.

the 496 has 4 different editions thru out the years. - example if you own a 2006 / 2007 496 you do not want the 2000 /. 2001 496 manual. Just saying
