Default Feedback on Arizona Speed and Marine 575SCi calibration

I am considering to have my stock 575 SCi ECM's calibrated for a leaner fuel curve. Has anyone had Arizona Speed and Marine calibrate their 575 SCi's? If, so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

have you taken o2 readings to see how rich you think its running.if not,,its a crap shoot on leaning the table out.your better off paying to have it live tuned.

FWIW, AZ Speed did my 575 ECU's about 10 yrs ago when motors were re-freshed, flat tops, full roller cams, more boost.. I believe it was a canned tune, also upped the rev limiter. It ran perfect right out of the gate. Zero soot on transom, actually, I don't think it could run any better.

you'll never know because you never tried a live tune.

I had the kit on my 575's when I bought the boat. It ran good, no problems. Then Eddie Young did some work for me last winter, and he said the tune was way to rich. So as part of the work we did to the engines, he retuned ECUs. I still have the smaller pulleys, but different fuel mapping (than AZSM).

Eddie was looking for a stock ECM for 575's, as he has developed a new fuel injection setup and needed to get the stock numbers. You should give him a call - might be able to work out some horsetrading on him getting your tune and then doing some tuning on your boat. I would put money on his tune being much better than anyone's "canned" tune.

Are you looking at the whole kit or just a tune?

The 575 is so rich at idle it washes the cylinders down and will load up idling through no wake zones. I have heard nothing but good on the 575 tune (with the boost kit) from AZSM, and the people who have had it done are pleased with it. This is not a phone conversation and send a best guess tune out type of deal (which gave them a bad name). All that said I do not think I would shell out $1100 bucks for their tune, pulley, ignition and thermostat. The motor does not need a different ignition.

EB Marine did my 575, actually copied a tune he did in another customers boat. I am sure Crocket, Eddie Young, Precision Power all have something different for the 575. Mercury dropped the ball on this one, the original maps sucked.

I have NO knowledge of AZSM but for research - Whipple also has ECM upgrades for your engine... and Dustin does his homework

I appreciate all of your feedback. It certainly helps me to make an educated decision. I am not considering a boost or ignition upgrade, just a tune only. I have spoken with Mark at Precision Marine, and will probably send him the ECM's this winter.
