I had my Scarab in San Leon (uncovered) on Dickinson Bay across from TX City refineries the past few weeks. When I arrived Sunday, the entire boat and trailer were covered in a black, sooty, oily film on EVERY surface. Does anyone know of a release, I would love to send them a bill!

Might want to check with the local fire department to see if there has been any fires close by.

If you're from San Leon then you know that's what the doctor community in Houston calls "black crud". You've been breathing it your whole life.

My dad was a live aboard in Seabrook Shipyard (just under the 146 bridge on the right) before and after his island tour on his Snail Cat. Different times that big SOB would have chit all over it from the refineries.

Haven't heard of any "extra" releases. Good Luck getting her cleaned up.

There was a small fire at Shell but I think the wind was from the south at the time
