Default Anyone have personal experience with the Professional Products/ Pro-Comp intakes?

I'm looking at converting to fuel injection this winter and was looking at the professional Products EFI Hurricane intake manifold. I have seen this intake on Ebay for $236 with fuel rails. I know that this brand had a bad rep several years ago but when I search the internet for info in the last year I am not finding anythng bad about them. Does anybody have any info about the quality and fit of their intakes?
I have looked at the Edelbrock intakes and they are $360 without rails and I have read that they are even made in China now.

Professional Products intakes were originally designed and funded by American designers and money, not copied and pasted...which is all Pro Comp has ever done with any of their products. They are not the same product or company. I've never used either so I have no first hand experience but I've heard of guys getting good results with the Pro Products intakes.

I have had only one pro-comp intake. it was for a 302 ford going in a street rod. the intake fit so bad that I sent it back and bought an edelbrock. the cost to fix the out of square machining was more than the the difference to the edelbrock intake.

I have 2 that I bought off another OSO member. I finally got around to putting 1 on one of my engines. It pulls 300-400 more rpm over my Weiand Stealth dual plane. The casting inside the plenum is nothing to brag about and my head porter cleaned them up. He also said that he would compare it more towards a Merlin single plane than a Dart single plane. I also believe the Merlin outperforms the Dart by a little. I have no fitment issues.

I have in the past said that I didn't see any difference between the single and dual plane manifolds. This summer after some tuning to both engines the single outperformed the dual and I gained some MPH.

I've had a Edelbrock and a Pro Comp BBC air gap intake side by side. The Edl had bosses for nitros and was cleaner but basically they were the same intake.

I have a new inbox Elderbrock Vr. Jr. Rect. Port intake with the injector bosses for 300.00 , I got it with a F.A.S.T. System and ended up buying a oval port intake instead.
