Anyone know where to find a factory Scarab III swim platform?
#2
Been lookin for a while with no luck. I had one on my 34 and i think its the same one they used on the 38 Excel as well. My thirty eight Thunder does not have one so its either find a 34/38 swim platform or make one . . . .
You'd think there would be one laying around somewhere as bad as the cores were on those things

If you find the fiberglass one I suspect it will be waterlogged. I rebuilt the one on my 89 Scarab III two seasons ago. (Wanted a Dive ladder and water came out when I drilled holes).

I removed the lower skin and built fiberglass ribs ~ 9" apart. No wood Core. Lost a lot of weight.
Put three hawsers in the flat portion as handholds\TieDown points for the short sandbar trips.
