Default Classic Race slides, how to digitize them?

I have thousands of classic race pictures on slides from the late 1970's and 80's, is there a way convert them to digital? If so, what companies do this? What do they charge? Thanks!

If all else fails, Costco does this in house for $0.32 per slide.

I did over 10,000 images both slides and negatives in various formats going back to the 60's a few years ago. Was one of the best things I ever did as far as enjoyment per $$. But the guy that did it flaked out on the last batch. As you know the originals are irreplaceable and he took soooooo long to finish I was scared I would never get them back.

I still have another batch of maybe 1000 to do so I am also interested if you find someone.
