So has this been tested or just theory at this point? What happened to ballets tanks to adjust your balance. If HP/weight equals speed and acceleration why carry more weight all the time? If you slowed down more before the turn and accelerated threw the turn wouldn't you carry the bow under and acceleration mode and also shorten the distance by possibly out turning you competition? I would love to see this tested by lap times. I have no cat experience so this is just a interesting conversation.. Races are won and lost in the turns, I get it. If you master the turns the rest is so much easier to fix.

Our sprint cars have been using simple and lightweight hydraulic rams to move wing's back and forth (fore and aft for you boat guys) for decades. How much do these "weight boxes" weigh and how far do they need to move? Seems like something I could build and install in about 20 mins, but I'm kinda drunk this evening.

Some boats can pump internal water to different ballast tanks to adjust there center of gravity. In spec racing there are specific rules. But for the unlimited I believe anything goes. A hydraulic system might weigh more than its worth?
