Default Want a High resolution copy of this pic.

I was hoping someone on the forum may have a better copy of this pic. The one I have is only 30 kb so basically a thumbnail. Willing to pay a modest amount as i understand photographers gotta eat. Its of a Bertam 38 in a race....

Thanks- wannabe

I think I got it off this site somewhere. I am hoping one of our history gurus may have it. Darren, Charlie or someone else???

It had to be taken from a copter in a race in the 70's. Thats Sammy James I am sure driving....

That boat is so far in the air I bet the landing was a big crushing kidney killer....

A very cool pic

The combination of high winds and the angle the pic was taken makes it look like the boat is a mile in the air.but if you zoom in on it you will see it was probably a moderate speed launch with not to much air

That boat was just for sale in Miami, craigslist, needed complete restoration, for 10k. Link is gone now.
And, that is a great photo, with water like that todays races would be cancelled........!

Here is Sammy and Jack at Pt.Pleasant, 1974

The 'airborne' pic was KW 1974---

Try to include it on a separate post--may be better resolution?

Altitude records being set at KW--1974??

Red Baron led most of the race, Sammy won--

I think both pics are from Ron Thibedeau--Ron passed away a few years ago--don't know who has his pics--Charlie??
