Default Nor-Tech 427 Pilots survived Horrible Crash : Interview with Patrick Huybreghts

[Hi all

I had the opportunity to interview Patrick Huybreghts on his Nor-Tech 427 accident. Together with Shelley Jory-Leigh they were racing in Sardinia when disaster struck.
The GoPro camera registered everything. I was invited by Patrick to see the full video and as a journalist I have to be objective but these images really moved me. You can read the full interview here http://www.powerboating.be/content/view/911/236/ and see more unique pictures.

I hate seeing any boat look like that.

If the deck is not glassed on it should not be a race boat in my eyes. Once the deck pops off all hell will break loose. Also looks like it could of used one more bulkhead in the nose, Hope every one is ok from the crash.

Was that boat really built to be a race boat? even if not; it's construction seems to be less than what one would expect. Or has it been repaired previously?

Copy and paste.

"That was also the reason why Patrick preferred the brand Nor-Tech to build him a new Race Boat for the 2010 Offshore world championship series."
