Default Mercury Racing Showcases LS-Based Crate Engine At SEMA Show

With all the Key West goings-on this month, somehow this Mercury Racing news flew completely under our radar, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...e-at-sema-show

Hmmm....why? Just build a ford if you want DOHC. Curious they sell this and not an LS based boat engine package.

The original image I used for this story was not the correct version. I've replaced it in the story. All apologies for any confusion my error may have created.

Make mine a 427 or 454 with closed cooling and an intercooled whipple supercharger and CMI headers with 700-800 hp/tq. Lightweight aluminum block would be icing on the cake.
Mate it to a NXT drive.

It looks like a rehash of the 1990 C4 dual overhead cam version of the
engine manufactured by Mercury at their OK plant.

In my opinion the current Vette engines are far superior
to the dual overhead cam engines of 1990 Vettes.

2015 vette engines are far superior than DOHC 1990 vettes. Who would have thought?
