Default Fountain 'circular saw blade' logo. LH rotation?

Just a bit of fun, I'm having a logo made from stainless to complete the refit of my 34.

I wanted the saw blade (is there a correct name for it?) in stainless and about 14 inches diameter at the widest point. Accepted the quote (about 170 USD) and went to pick up the emblem today, they've made two of them. The price they quoted was for two so I thought ok, I have a keepsake or spare.

Here's the fun part. They made one as an exact opposite, thinking I wanted to put them on the sides of the boat and by having one 'counter rotating', the two sides of the boat would match!

Here's the pics, first up showing the topside with the protective tape still on and the second showing the unpolished side of one.

i could have them polish the underside of the LH emblem but I think I'll just keep it the way it is.
They've done a nice job, you can see the size below and it's 4mm (3/16) thick. The points are quite sharp but once fitted, it won't be dangerous. As it is now, you wouldn't want it thrown at you, could make quite a weapon.

I'll be fitting it tomorrow, should look great but I will have to keep a rag handy to keep fingerprints off it!

Fair comment, I knew that would come up. Maybe have it gold plated and encrusted with some cubic zirconium first!

Job done. Now I've got nearly as many logos on my boat as a Cig.

Those look great! Got me thinking... would it be cost effective to have them make the full logo (with letters) and ship to the states? Fountain does not offer the size I need anymore...lol

Over here, you can get pretty much whatever you want. You have to be very specific about your requirements or you'll be disappointed. Classic example, I got two when I only wanted one. Didn't matter this time but you see how things can get confused.

Give the Thais something to copy and they are absolutely first class. Unfortunately shipping to th U.S. Is a bit dear, it is literally the other side of the globe from Thailand. If anyone has something specific they want, I'm happy to help if I can but because of freight charges, it may not be worthwhile.
