Questions about 36.

I have thinking about going bigger, 37 Apache twin step, 36 Pantera twin step or Active Thunder 37 single. I like rare boats always been a huge fan of the Pantera 28, my buddy has a bad ass 28 Pantera. What's the deal with the 36s how many made? What was the factory power options? Handling? Ride? Durability? Who rigged them? Thank you guys.

Only a had full of twin step 36s were made(total of around 6). Few went overseas. Few are around in the states. I know the Blue 36 is here in Michigan. The owner knows of two other 36s on the east coast that were pantera rigged boats.
One or two other boats were rigged by Checkmate. One sold. And the staggered one is still forsale.
Build quality by pantera is always top notch. You can tell just by looking at rigging compared to non pantera rigged boats.

I own the 09 36 orange and silver one. I have had a Pantera for 15 years now and have never been disappointed one bit.As like the 28 the 36 are rough water boats they're not the fastest out there but they're true offshore boats like your Apache. When your done beatin on it for a day there's no picking up screws bolts washers off the floor. I have 525s and run in the mid to upper 80s depending on well you know the deal. They're not happy on flat water so if you boat on lakes it probably not the boat for you. Kinda has a small cockpit front bolsters are fine just a little tight in the back seat area. There was only one rigged at Checkmate which is the only staggered set up and that's still available in Harrisburg. There's also a 08 36 here on the Chesapeake for sale with 496s. Happy Shopping

Thank you, I appreciate the info. I would be pissed if after a day of running hard I was picking up nuts, washers or anything like that. Mine hates flat water as well. but on Lake Lanier and Lake Winnebago you need to handle the chop and slop. Again thank you. Is it summer yet? Lol.

The 36 Pantera has much less freeboard and cabin space than the AT or Apache.
Only a few stepped 36/37 Apaches were built and one of the TS 36's just sold. A few were single stepped.
Sick Stinger had/has a stepped 36 Apache I'm sure he'd sell if he still has it.
I had a 28 Pantera. The rigging was excellent and better than my 32 AT.
I also ride in a straight bottom 36 Apache quite a bit. It is a much more windy ride compared to my AT. Great boat that will handle any water.
Freeboard on the 37 AT and 36 Apache are similar. Cockpit on the AT is a little bigger and cabin is nicer.
The walk around on the AT is also very nice for getting on the bow and docking.
My first choice would probably be a 37 AT out of the 3, a stepped Apache second and the 36 Pantera third.

Thank you. I have spoken to Bobby about the single step Apache, They only made a couple and he said the TS is better. I like the 36 Apache staight bottom as well, heavy boat and takes some really serious horsepower to make them haul. I like the AT as well. I love the deep free board on my Apache. Also the build quality and the way it handles everything you throw at it. I always thought the TS Pantera 36 was a sharp rig. Like I said thinking about it. Not a now purchase, more or less asking questions and gaining knowledge.
