Default Help!!! Bravo Drives have Tamper Proof Nuts, Cant find the Dang Key !!!!!

I need to take the Drives off my Buddies Cig and each drive has a Tamper Proof Nut ( Like a Mag Wheel would have) and him or I lost the Key... How can I get them off?? who makes them?? Anybody Know?? There's a stainless shroud around it so you cant grab the Nut.....Any Ideas??

I recently bought a boat that had prop locks and no keys .....looked up on the Internet and found Mcgard had made mine . Called and they had me send pictures and sent the right set out the first time. Didn't cost enough to tear them up.

Hey, That Gator Grip may work... I'll pick one up... Tks

Welding a nut isn't possible since its in a shroud about the size of a 5/8" socket..

Dremmel or a grinder (if you're good with a grinder) with a cut off wheel slice both sides of the shield as far as you can without hitting the drive. A chisel and a hammer will break it the rest of the way off. Then grab the star shaped nut with a pair of locking pliers and spin it off. Have had to do this many times.
