Default switchable exhaust tips vs silent choice

Hey guys I need real word opinions here.
I am considering swapping my silent choice for switchable tips.
I realize that the switchable exhaust tips (such as the Teague 450s) are not going to be as quite as the silent choice, and I see that they can reduce the db levels as much as 14db.
How does the relate in the real word? and are they any advantage to the switchable tips performance wise? and or lesser chance of reversion?
