Default Cant mount gauges after putting bezels on

I got bezels to put behind my gauges. Looks great but now the gauge sticks out and the bolts that the mounting cups slide on are not long enough to get my wires hooked backed up and secured. Anyone else ran into this? My last velocity had the bezels but i don't recall how they did it. The gauges are faria if that matters.

I had to cut down my mounting brackets.

I should add that I have autometer gauges with aluminum "u" shaped brackets.

Mine has plastic cup things instead of the metal ones. I did grind one of them down just to see if it would work and it did but i didnt really like the idea. Maybe i dont have another choice.

My autometer speedometer has the same thing. Anyway you can get threaded unions to put on the end of the gauges thread and then just put a bolt/ machined screw into that?
