Default Travel from the US to a port near Cancun Mexico

I know this is an odd question but... Does anyone know of any options to travel from the US to a port near Cancun Mexico by boat? My brother is getting married there and I don't fly but would really like to attend. I am open to any option but am really have trouble finding any options other than air. I'd be happy to travel by freighter, private yacht/boat, ferry, or any other option out there and am flexible with my schedule as long as I am there for the couple days around the wedding.

Any suggestions???? Help?!?!?

Thanks!

Have you looked into Cozumel? Busy cruise port. Google Puerta Maya for its website for more info. You take shore excursion through cruise line and rent a car or use van taxi.

Xanax and Johnny walker - Not a strong enough combo... Have already tried it.

Have you looked into Cozumel? Busy cruise port. - Problem with Cruises is they don't stay long enough... And once you get off (beyond the 5-8 hour scheduled stay) I'm not aware of a way to get back to the US. If you miss the boat the cruise company typically requires you to fly back to the US.

Not to throw cold water on this but....If any of my close family scheduled such an event at a location that difficult for me to attend...I'd think long and hard whether I was really invited or not. Best to send well wishes and schedule a nice dinner back in the good old USA when they return from Mexico.

LOL. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...-jennifur.html

Hoping to head for Turks and Caicos in February / March and if I can catch a weather window back into the Eastern Caribbean.

Bob

Call the cruise lines. You can go out of Houston, Miami or Ft Lauderdale. See if you can go down on one cruise/ship and return on another?
