Has anyone gone yet, Is it worth the trip.

It all depends if you want to see new family and cruiser and gadgets then yes, but not if you expect to see performance boats.

I'm going Saturday.
The performance end of things has sucked for years but I always go just to see the new stuff, meet up with some friends, and kill a cold day up in the Northeast here.
