Default relocate the oil filter on a 502

I have a 502 mag and just put a set of EMI thunder manifolds on. The problem is that I don't want to spend a boat load of money to get the EMI oil filter relocation kit that only comes with a piece of rubber hose and a couple of fittings. I built a custom bracket to move it (which looks a lot better then the EMI bracket) and now I cant find anyone to make braider hoses for it because of the funky thread that mercruiser uses. 3/4-16 on the female filling and 3/4-18 on all 3 male fittings. Does anyone know where to get the fittings for the stock external oil filter so I can take them to a speed shop and have them make braided lines? As you know, it's all about what looks good and a piece of rubber hose doesn't look very good.

thanks to all my fellow boaters!

Waterdog - Any places near you that work on trucks? (Heavy trucks, like road plows, construction equipment, etc?)

For our fork-lift repair shop, when we need a hose made, we go to our local truck repair shop that makes up custom hydraulic hoses for us, and they seem to have every fitting imaginable in stock. Check with a local construction company to see where they get their hoses made, you might be surprised. Usually speed shops won't have all of the different fittings that are used on construction equipment.

Might try "Stainless Steel Fitting" they carry a lot of stuff. For other specialty Stainless fittings I look at ZORO Plumbing, both on the Web.
Good Luck

You can get inverted flair to AN adapters and then you can make your own hoses
